VoIPCNAM.com provides low cost pay-as-you-go Calling Name (CNAM) information to individuals and small businesses in the US and Canada without requiring high inital deposits to open an account. The CNAM delivery service is compatible with all VoIP PBX systems, most notably including manually configured Asterisk boxes, as well as FreePBX and Trixbox based systems. We provide code examples for Asterisk dialplan integration, as well as FreePBX and Trixbox integration.
The Lookup Process
The CNAM database is queried using a simple HTTP request that returns the name of the calling party to your application or dialplan. The request is inserted into your dialplan in one line of code. This is an example for an Asterisk 1.4 dialplan:

Once this is in place, and your VoIPCNAM.com account is activated, your incoming calls and call records will show the caller's number as well as their name!
